We were delighted that our Woking Hub was featured in the ROC newsletter this month and look forward to seeing everyone back at the hub when it re-starts next week!
In May of this year, we launched our Together with Music Hub in Woking, in partnership with Trinity Methodist Church. Residents from Kettlewell House Care Home and students from Horsell C of E Junior School were joined by people of all generations and backgrounds from across Woking. For eight weeks, they came together to take part in Music-making sessions shaped by participants and led by an IMM facilitator and community volunteers.
Highlights included: a Jubilee celebration with performances, games, crown decorating and a memorabilia table, and a Pirate Party where participants shared messages of hope in bottles and sang sea-shanties.
“It is really refreshing for the residents. They love the interaction with the children, and it has clearly enhanced their sense of wellbeing”
Lynn King, Care Worker at Kettlewell House Care Home
Thank you to all of our funders, partners, volunteers and attendees for making our work possible!
See you all on the 3rd of November!
